This is a barren desert with rolling dunes and rocks. No owls live here and few come here.

This is a dense, forest full of tall evergreen trees. It is somewhat dark in some places which gives the forest its name. Fires often rage here which draws colliers here.

South of the Sea of Hoolemere, a land of trickery sits. Thoughout the land, rocks stand tall to form beak-like formations. There are a few trees for owls to alight on and plenty of water, but at a price.

Even farther south, the large forest of Tyto awaits a wary traveler. Tall trees make a perfect setting for a Barn owl nest. That being said, the Barn owl is the most common owl here. As a challenge, racoons and other scary ground predators walk the night floor.

These canyons are rocky and deep. Little vegetation can be found in these barren canyons. The main entrance is called the Great Horned Entrance for its resemblance to a Great Horned Owl. This canyon was once the home of St. Aegolius Academy for Orphaned Owls, a deadly organization committed to snatching chicks and eggs and moonblinking them and using them to mine flecks.

Silverveil is considered the most beautiful forest by many owls. It has many trees and lush, green undergrowth. It is home to a the Rogue Smith of Silverveil, who, as rumor has it, is related to the singer, Madam Plonk, of The Great Ga'hoole Tree.

This is a forest rich in flecks with streams running through it. Because of the flecks, some owls are given certain strange abilities. An peculiar owl named Mist lives here with two eagles as well as flying snakes. She is said to be clear and hard to see and have some special abilities. She was a hero named Hortense which is now a common name in Ambala, for males and females alike.

The Desert of Kuneer is a flat, barren desert strewn with cacti, shrubs and rocks. Mainly Burrowing Owls and Elf Owls live here in cacti or burrow nests eating mostly mice, rabbits and snakes.

In the small Bitter Sea (northwest of the Everwinter), the legandary Glauxian Brothers live on a small island. Shrouded in silence, these powerful owls house the only other library in the owl world.

This is the Glacier that moves down from the mountains. Many pirates live here, and not to mention many different kinds of arctic animals.

Shrouded in ice and blowing snow, the tall mountains, known as the Hrath'ghars, rise above the land. From these peaks, the Glacier with the same name slides.

One of the many chilly icebergs in the Everwinter Sea, the Stormfast Island is no stranger to icy storms and snowy bursts of wind.

These sharp peaks of ice form a peninsula out into the sea. Snow settles in the deep valleys of the Talons.

Not far from the Ice Talons, the mysterious Dark Fowl Island juts from the icy water.

The Firth of Fangs is just south of the Lagoon of Moss, and in it live strange owls of many colors, the pirates.

These two bodies of ice almost close off the slender river of water that leads to and from the Everwinter Sea.

West of Dark Fowl Island, the Ice Dagger careens out of the water. It is a tall, very dangerous 'dagger' of ice that is one of the first things a newcomer will see as he comes into the Northern Kingdoms.

Right between the Ice Dagger and the Tridents, the Glauxian Sisters have their own home. They eat, sleep, and pratice their skills with ice weapons here.

This sea is a smaller one that flows from the Everwinter, and in it lies the Glauxian Brothers Retreat.

This is where Dire Wolves hunt and live. They live in Clans but the only clan who can produce gnaw wolves, wolves who guard the Sacred Ring of Volcanoes, are the MacDuncans.

Hireclaws gather here daily and share news, battle claws and trade with rogue smiths. Here, names and identities don't matter. Outcasts gather here and you can always expect some violence.
